The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for maintaining the City streets, sidewalks, and all public right-of-ways. This includes keeping City roadways and sidewalks clear of snow.
The DPW is also responible for installing all municipal water meters and maintaining the water and sewer system. Water meters are read on a quarterly basis by DPW staff.
The many parks throughout the City are maintained by the DPW. It is their responsiblity to make sure that the parks are in order for any City sponsored events such as Roosevelt Park Day or Music in the Park.
Flowers are planted by both the DPW staff and the Garden Club at the Gazebo gardens in Community Center Park and on the Broadway Avenue streetscape.
