The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for maintaining the City streets, sidewalks and right-of-ways. They plow the snow in the winter keeping the sidewalks clear for residents to travel on foot.
The DPW is also responible for installing and replacing water meters and maintaining the water and sewer system. Water meters are read on a quarterly basis.
The many parks throughout the City are maintained by the DPW. It is their responsiblity to make sure that the parks are in order for any City sponsored events such as Roosevelt Park Day or Music in the Park.
Flowers are planted by staff and the Garden Club at the Gazebo in Community Center Park and the Broadway streetscape and they maintain the gardens at the Community Center.
