The City Clerk is responsible for all Elections, business licensing, utility bills and rental registrations.

To be qualified to vote in an election, you must be registered 30 days prior to the election. The City has two voting precincts. Precinct one, located at City Hall, is all property East of Roosevelt Road with the exception of Tiffany Woods. Precinct two, located at the Community Center, is all property west of Roosevelt Road and includes Tiffany Woods. You can register to vote at City Hall or at the Secretary of State's office. On election day, polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. If you have any questions about your voter registration call 231-755-3721, ext. 104.

Utility Bills come out quarterly beginning in March. Residents are given about 35 days to pay their bills. Payment arrangements can be made once per year and will allow additional time to pay a bill. Please don't wait until shut off if you find yourself in a difficult situation and cannot make the scheduled payment.

Business licenses are $30 per year and are due in February. You must have a valid license to operate your business within Roosevelt Park. Applications can be picked up in City Hall or downlowded off of this site. The fee is $30 per business or $100 if liquor is sold at the business.
