The Building & Zoning Inspector is responsible for enforcing zoning ordinances and inspections. The City of Roosevelt Park enforces building codes under the 2003 edition of the Michigan Building Code and the 2003 edition of the Michigan Residential Code. Roosevelt Park property owners are responsible for maintaining their property and yard to safety and appearance standards.

The inspector also enforces the 2003 International Property Maintenance Code and The City of Roosevelt Park Code of Ordinances.

In 2004, the City adopted an ordinance for the licensing of rental dwelling units. The purpose of the ordinance is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the people of the City by establishing minimum standards for rental dwellings within the City of Roosevelt Park.

Scott Plummer serves as the City's Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector. Permits are issued and inspections are scheduled at City Hall. If you have code questions you can leave a message at 231-773-0841 and Scott will call you back.
